Sounds Like Community Radio, a live broadcast event from 4ZZZ

Brisbane community radio station 4ZZZ and Amrap, the CBAA’s Australian Music Radio Airplay Project, are joining forces to present Sounds Like Community Radio, a live broadcast featuring some of the most exciting artists working in Australian music today.

Community radio in Australia now reaches nearly 6,000,000 listeners each week and showcasing the diversity Australian music has to offer is one of community radio’s true calling cards.

The line-up of artists performing on the day includes Tralala Blip, Laura Imbruglia, Huntly, Emily Wurramara, McKisko, Gordon Koang and DRMNGNOW with the Goon Sax capping off the day with their set coming from the 4ZZZ Carpark.

4ZZZ will open their doors for tours on the day and a chance to talk to community radio Music Directors from Triple R, 2SER, SYN, PBS, Edge Radio & 4ZZZ.

Amrap manager Andrew Khedoori, says“We’re excited to get Music Directors from some of the great community stations from around the country together to celebrate what the network does to support and nurture Australian music every day of the year. It’s a unique opportunity to meet the people that help make that happen and find out more about how to get involved as well as be a part of a great day of live music.”

It’s also a great opportunity for any Australian musician to learn about Amrap, a free service that connects artists with broadcasters keen to play their music.
