Spend the weekend in London and attend a radio conference on the Monday

The radio conference is called Next Radio and this year it’s on September 8th, in the Royal Institution of Great Britain.

It’s put on by Matt Deegan and James Cridland who has run Media UK for the last twenty years but this summer, says James, “I’m closing it: rebranding and rewriting the entire website as media.info http://media.info> . It’s live now, and contains media details for the UK, Ireland and Gibraltar.”

Of Next Radio James says, “There’ll be lots of great speakers, including folks from LBC, Capital, NPR, CBC, Google, Bauer, SoundCloud, Orion Media, and many more. It’s a different type of conference in that everyone speaks for either 9 or 18 minutes. We’ve no panels, we forbid people from wearing suits, and it’s a great day full of sharing ideas about radio. Here’s a full speaker list http://nextrad.io/conference/programme-2014/> .

“Please do come. http://nextrad.io/conference/ has more details and how to get tickets. It’s just £99, is on a Monday, and is a very good excuse to spend a weekend in London,” says James.

If you’d like to watch videos from previous years, they’re all up at the website. http://nextrad.io is where to go.
