Student radio to boom live from Perth Royal show

Student station BOOM Radio is set to return to the IGA Perth Royal Show this year.

The Royal Show runs from the 23rd to the 30th of September at the Claremont showgrounds and North Metropolitan TAFE’s BOOM Radio will be broadcasting live from the event.

Every day for the full 8 days, the student run radio station based in Leederville will be on site conducting a live outside broadcast as well as running competitions and providing a chill-out lounge and games for Show patrons.

Senior Lecturer Annwen Burrows said: “The Perth Royal Show is a great opportunity for the students to bring together all the skills they have learnt throughout the year at previous events such as the Skills West Expo”

Boom Radio broadcasts live from Leederville, in Perth. It’s run by students of North Meropolitan TAFE. They are in their second and final year, studying an Advance Diploma of Screen and Media (Radio Broadcasting).
