From this Monday at 7pm, Jabba (alias Jason Davis) will return to his home town and head up Nova Nights in Sydney with Mel Femia as co-host.

Nova 969 Program Director Adam Williscroft told radioinfo: “Jabba loves being thrown in the deep end and we are expecting him to have the same impact in Sydney – no pressure!”

Jabba is well known across Australia – he fronts the weekly Motorola ARIA Chart Show on the Nova Network on Sunday afternoons and is part of the furniture at Channel V.

Up ‘till now he has been co-hosting the Nova 19s with Justine McKell in Brisbane.

So now Nova 106.9 also has a new Nights Team.

Justine will carry on with the baton with Simon Kennedy who is already part of the Nova team, and has been a regular fill in for Jabba.

Jabba will also continue to make regular appearances on Nova 106.9 – they can’t get rid of him that easily.

Meantime, in Sydney, no word as to the future of Matty & Fridgy currently still shown on the Nova website with Mel 7pm – 10pm.
