The Thinkergirls Live

The duo announce their Posse Podcast Tour.

For the last 12 months The Thinkergirls (Stacey June and Kristie Mercer) were KIIS FM’s national night show from 7pm to 9pm – the first all female nationally broadcast nightly FM radio program – and their podcast developed a cult-like following (particularly with women), with over 1,000,000 downloads of the first 100 episodes of their podcasts.

They won’t be returning to their KIIS FM nightly timeslot next year and so will be concentrating on their podcasts, live shows and other broadcast formats. This podcast is all about talking all the things people are thinking but not saying, With topics suggested by audience members, the podcast focuses on the things people are thinking about but not saying.

The Thinkergirls are taking their popular live podcast to Melbourne and Sydney on 18 and 25 November 2017. When explaining the format of the live shows, Stacey said “It’s all about our posse. Our audience members have been sending through topics for months and we will hash them out live together. The live shows couldn’t have come at a better time. We have a lot to spill.”

“Offering content to a whole new audience through our own terms and own channels has never been more important. The live shows are the logical extension of our radio show and podcasts and an important way to have the face to face interaction with our posse,” added Kristie.

The Thinkergirls are also the creators of the first all-female nationally broadcast nightly FM radio program. After recently moving on from the nightly timeslot, Stacey said:

“Content is no longer built around one stream. In order to stay in touch with what our listeners and our TG posse want – it’s important to find out how and where they want to consume it. We love radio but gone are the days of content consumption only being used in traditional mediums. Live shows, podcasts, posse events, on demand video series are the way our generation consume media.”

The Thinkergirls have also toured a live recording of the show to sold out audiences at the Melbourne and Adelaide Fringe Festivals and have made multiple TV appearances across Australia including The Project, The Morning Show and as regular guests on Sunrise.
