triple j has teamed up with Red Cross to bring you the smash hit Christmas charity single, ‘Christmas Number 1’.

Lead by song writer and triple j Drive presenter The Doctor, the single parodies Christmas songs of the past, in a playful yet genuine effort to raise money for the Red Cross.

Now we need your help to make ‘Christmas Number 1’… Number 1 this Christmas!

‘Christmas Number One’ can be downloaded from iTunes throughout December, with all the proceeds going to help families in crisis through the Red Cross. This means your generous donation will go towards helping local projects such as the Tasmanian and New South Wales bushfires and the Red Cross Save-A-Mate program, as well as support for the homeless, ‘at risk’ young people and Indigenous communities in remote areas. Funds will also contribute to international aid in areas like the Philippines, which suffered drastically from Typhoon Haiyan. Downloading triple j’s Christmas charity single is an easy and affordable way to do something good this festive season.

Our friends at the Red Cross said ‘Red Cross are thrilled to be working with triple j on ‘Christmas Number 1’. The money raised will help families and loved ones prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters such as bushfires and floods.’
