Triple M Rocks Rio with Roy Slaven & H.G Nelson

Triple M’s official coverage of the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio will include a daily show from Australia’s ‘sporting heroes’ Roy Slaven & H.G Nelson.

These senior sporting correspondents will be covering the festivities for the duration of the Games, August 8 – 19, from 12-1pm Monday to Friday, with HG officially dubbing himself as “Triple M’s senior boxing correspondent.”

Returning to the Triple M Network for the first time since 2011 Roy & HG said, “It’s a dream come true to be back on Triple M after all of this time.”

We are both humbled and proud that the great organisation has seen the error of their ways and opened their doors for us, albeit for a fortnight. Once every four years, Australians get very excited about the shot put, the single skulls and the shotgun. Triple M’s Mardi Gras of Medals will bring you every heave, every strain and every bang from the five rings of Rio.”

Head of Content for the Triple M Network Mike Fitzpatrick said, “It’s so cool to have these two broadcasting veterans back on Triple M for the world’s biggest sporting event.”

Their insight, experience and understanding of the Games are second to none and will provide our listeners with a unique coverage of all that is going on in Rio.”

Roy and HG will broadcast Monday – Friday, 12-1pm, on Triple M nationally and on Southern Cross Austereo’s LocalWorks network.
