Twitter has improved the way its handles audio inside its own app.

Radio stations and musicians already share lots of audio on twitter via links, but now that audio can be played from wintin the twitter app.

With a single tap, the Twitter Audio Card lets you discover and listen to audio directly in your timeline on both iOS and Android devices.

Throughout the streamed listening experience, listeners can dock the Audio Card and keep listening as they continue to browse inside the Twitter app. The new audio card is being launched in partnership with third-party streaming services, with the first partner being SoundCloud.

Cricket Australia is another partner that is expected to stream cricket broadcasts this coming cricket season.
