Chris was one of the first Australian Twitter employees, joining in 2013 to help start up Twitter Australia’s Entertainment, TV & News Partnerships division. At Twitter he formed content partnerships with some of Australia’s biggest media outlets including ABC, Seven News, Ten Network, FOXTEL, SBS, Southern Cross Austereo, Nova Entertainment and the Australian Radio Network.

In late 2015 Chris was given the responsibility to launch Twitter’s Lifestyle & Digital Talent verticals covering all areas across Fitness, Health, Fashion/Beauty, Health/Wellbeing and Digital Influencers. During his time at Twitter he worked across Twitter’s Tokyo, Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York offices, working on projects across the Music/Entertainment and Lifestyle space.

“I’m thrilled to be joining as Social Media Director for Southern Cross Austereo. For three years I’ve had the absolute privilege to work alongside the SCA team in my role at Twitter.

I’ve never come across such a progressive and innovative group of people who believe so much in digital and social.

Leaving Twitter was an extremely hard decision for me, however I’m excited to take the next step in my career at Australia’s leading media and entertainment company”.

Chris will be based in Sydney and join SCA mid-November, reporting into Chris Johnson, Head of Digital Product.
