His family and friends on facebook are mourning the death of Adelaide comedy identity, Dave Flanagan.

Dave, who was an accomplished  Comedian, Corporate MC, Key Note Speaker, Professional Actor, Film Director and Mentor was also the breakfast announcer at Triple M, Adelaide for four years between 1997 – 2001.

As owner of the Comedy Cellar, where he taught students the art of comedy over a 26 year span, he had an enormous positive influence over the industry as a whole and individual comedians who became household names thanks to his mentoring.

More recently Dave’s main professional purpose was working to help individuals transform the quality of their lives through coursese such as “Stand Up With Confidence.” It is described on his LinkedIn page as, “NOT a ‘one size fits all’ trendy, positive thinking program” but a GENUINE structured course that uses specific waypoints to re-establish and build sustained confidence. Highly recommended, it has achieved stunning results. Dramatically effective in the workplace, improving sales, team building and management skills.”

He leaves behind his wife Sue and children Purnima and Annie.

Funeral details are yet to be announced.
