2RRR Life Member, David Stevens, passed away on Monday, just 37 days short of his 94th birthday and today’s Midday Jazz program on the station, was a program David pre-recorded last week.
 
David Stevens joined 2RRR over 10 years ago as a jazz music presenter and has produced and presented his program continuously to date, as well as being a talented pianist, still working professionally as late as last Sunday at a concert in Dural.
 
He was also 2RRR’s Secretary until recently and, as a qualified accountant, drafted the stations financial accounts, as well as participating in a volunteer capacity.
 
David is survived by his wife, Anita, and his and Anita’s extended family.
