PD and morning announcer at Port Augusta’s 5AU and Magic FM, Niven Boyd passed away suddenly.

48 year old Niven was born in Liverpool NSW and moved with his family to South Australia at a young age.

He had been in a management position at the Grant Broadcasting station for over ten years.

His sister Carolann marked his passing with this message on facebook:

“Today my baby brother with out warning left us to be with his beloved mother . A man of high integrity honour sharp minded and a work ethic that could not be faulted he lived for his work he loved his work and died at work RIP little bro . Crank up the volume Flaps and rock that play ground in the Sky and watch mum dance”

Friends are also leaving tributes on Niven’s facebook page.
