As if being nominated in Cleo’s Media Bachelor of the Year search isn’t enough to get your testosterone surging, imagine being the only finalist from radio.

 

That honour goes to Nova Entertainment‘s National Newsroom Manager  Matt de Groot.

 

Two finalists from each state were chosen in the competition which expanded this year from eligible bachelors in agency land to include media.

 

Matt is representing New South Wales (and radio nationally) along with some agency Social Media Coordinator 😉

 

And he’s looking for votes.

 

I freelance for Nova Entertainment as a journalist and Matt kindly changed a shift for me  so I reckon that deserves a vote from me. 

 

I am happy to swing him one and show my support for my radio brothers.

 

The launch of the Media Bachelor competition coincides with Cleo’s Most Eligible Bachelor competition which is now in its 29th year.

“I get that being nominated for the Cleo MEDIA Bachelor of the year, as opposed to the main Cleo award is like playing in the NBL, not the NBA. But, that’s ok”, says Matt. As not just the only radio man, but also the only bald man, I do feel added weight and pressure. If I win it will be a victory for the line ‘head for radio,’ But I don’t expect to win – as I don’t have a dog in my photo.”
