Webby losing eyesight

Veteran Radio, TV presenter Graham Webb who has in recent years been providing community stations and others with audio tributes to entertainers from Australia and overseas, will no longer be able to produce them.

We are advised that unfortunately he is suffering from macular degeneration which makes the necessary gathering of information by computer an increasingly challenging task. Graham has had this condition for several years but it has greatly increased in severity in the past 12 months to the point where he is unable to read from text or the information on his computer screen.

The 77 year old is understandably saddened by his loss of ability to continue to do what he loves doing, and is so good at.

However, there’s nothing wrong with his ears and although we can’t publish his private number here, we’re told that he is happy to take phone calls form anyone who would like to have a chat, but cannot respond to email for the reasons mentioned above.

Despite his condition, he is still planning to travel from Coolum Queensland  to attend the forthcoming TV Pioneers reunion in Sydney on 2nd December.
