Zan Rowe launches weekly Take 5 Podcast

Every Friday on triple jZan Rowe’s Take 5 segment invites prominent guests to talk about 5 songs that changed their life, based around a different theme each week.

To kick it off, triple j is throwing in some classic Take 5 segments, including *that* Violent Soho episode when after celebrating five songs in the Hottest 100 Luke and James rolled in on minimal sleep to share their ‘sickie songs’.

Perth born, Sydney based artist and recurring Archibald finalist, Abdul Abdullah, also shared the five songs that made him who he is today, talking about his experiences making provocative art from the perspective of a Muslim Australian.

Plus this week’s Take 5 guest, Wafia, revealed her historical family ties to the very first Prime Minister-ship of Syria and Jordan, sharing her ‘songs for the head, songs for the heart’.
