E-diaries replace pen-and-paper radio surveys

THE traditional paper-diary radio audience measurement system is set to be overhauled after industry body Commercial Radio Australia yesterday announced it had chosen global research firm GfK as its new survey provider, ending 66 years of Nielsen ratings.  After a five-month tender process, GfK was awarded a three-year contract starting on January 1 next year. Nielsen will continue to provide ratings for the rest of this year.
