3AW’s John Burns is reportedly close to signing a new contract to continue alongside Ross Stevenson in breakfast at 3AW.
 
In October Stevenson signed a long-term contract and while there was speculation in April that Burns may not continue as co-host, it appears no longer to be the case.

Following the departure of Matty Johns from The Grill Team, SCA’s The Chaser will take over Breakfast weekdays in the lead up to Christmas on Triple M Sydney.

ABC Radio Perth has several new presenters in 2019: Barry Nicholls will present an early-bird statewide Breakfast show from 4am – 6am.
Russell Woolf (pictured) and Nadia Mitsopoulos take over the Perth Breakfast 6am – 10am and Jessica Strutt presents the morning Focus. Afternoons sees the extension of Gillian O’Shaughnessy’s program starting at 12.30pm and Christine Layton is the station’s new Saturday Breakfast host.

In other changes at the network, from January 14th, 2019 The Breeze will offer Wellington and Kapiti full local programming between 6am - 3pm each day. Kris Edwards will take over the Breakfast show in other regions across The Breeze network.

Lindy Burns will return to the Evenings program for a final week of broadcasting in early December, to say goodbye to her ABC Radio Melbourne and Victorian listeners.

The tour kicks off on Tuesday December 4 as she reconnects with Marysville, a community she embraced after the Black Saturday bushfires and listeners are invited to a live broadcast at the Duck Inn, where Lindy will be joined by Writs and Cures’ favourites Bill O’SheaNick Carr and Katie Miller together with some great live local music.
