Former Today show host, Steve Liebmann has signed a two-year deal with 2UE to be a regualr fill-in presenter. He'll join Tim Webster and Peter FitzSimons over summer.

Phil Sylvester is the new Executive Producer for Chris Smith at 2GB. Phil comes from Channel Seven where he worked as a producer.

Two long-serving staff of 2VM/NOW FM Moree will retire this Friday. Journalist Margaret Hurle and Production Manager Graham Miles say farewell after 20-plus years. Margaret, who also runs a farm in the district with her husband David, will concentrate on this and hopefully do some travelling. Graham and his wife Beverley will return to Queensland's Sunshine Coast to be near family. Graham, who started at 3AW in 1957 has also previously worked at 2RG Griffith, 2LF Young and 4NA Nambour. Margaret's successor in the Newsroom is Jordanna Taylor-Stevens while former 2NZ/2MO announcer John Daskey joins the staff this week

From Monday, ABC NewsRadio's Phil Kafcaloudes will host a new breakfast program on Radio Australia. The two-hour show will broadcast live as people get out of bed in Asia.

Program Director of Sea FM and Hot FM in Cairns, Trent Towson has been promoted to Group Program Director North Queensland. Meanwhile, Townsville Localworks Announcer/Music Director, Glenn Mintern has been appointed Program Director of 4TO Townsville.

Jordanna Taylor-Stevens has moved from Macquarie Regional Radio's Sea FM Rockhampton to the Now FM line up. Jordanna heads the Moree newsroom as the new journalist/newsreader.

Ian Sheppard has been reappointed General Manager of Southern Cross Broadcasting station 2UE in Sydney. Sheppard takes over the job from Group General Manager of Radio, Graham Mott, who added the Sydney job to his workload after Bob Miller left the station earlier this year.

The Radio Sales Network has appointed Dave La Pouple as General Manager of the Sydney office. He has extensive media management experience with 8 years in regional radio, 11 years with the Australian Radio Network in Sydney, and more recently with News Limited’s Daily and Sunday Telegraph.

Newcastle's Lindy Burns will host drive on 774 ABC Melbourne until the end of the year. She replaces Virginia Triloi.

Joel Helmes, who has spent the past 15 months in Queensland with 4KQ and Crow FM is moving back to 2LT\1079 Lithgow as Program director. Joel was previously the 2LT breakfast host.
