We've had good news from David Day. He had a kidney transplant two days after Christmas and he's feeling fantastic after two year of dialysis. He sends his thanks to all who sent kind wishes over the years and says that it was much appreciated.

Ian Holland is 2CH's new Program Director, after Peter Burgham's reported sacking. Steve Murphy will take over afternoons (12-4), George Ilich will do drive (4-8), Holland will do nights 8-9 and 10pm-midnight, Murphy will continue to present the 'Nine O'Clock Special', and Saturday and Sunday breakfast will be handled by Gareth McCray.

Mark Carlon will head up The Regional Radio Bureau’s Perth office as Western Australian State Manager from Monday 17th January. Carlon is well known in the local advertising market and was previously Direct Sales' Manager of Seven Affiliate Sales in Perth.

In the lead up to the long awaited launch of Nova 1069 in Brisbane, DMG has appointed Wade Kingsley as Promotions’ and Marketing Director. Lisa Herbert is News Director; Kevin Stephens is Chief Engineer; Campbell Swinton is Senior Engineer; and Luke McKew is Trainee Engineer.

After filling in on breakfast at The Edge 96.1 for the past 7 months, Webby & Gracie (Byron Webb and Grace Farah), hand the slot over to the station's new duo - Phil Brandel and Jo Abi. Phil has stepped down as Program Director and takes up breakfast anchor; Jo returns from maternity leave. "The Phil & Jo Show" launches on Monday, January 17th. In the meantime Eddie Hribar will be act as PD and Lee Bevington as MD until a replacement is found.

Kyle and Jackie O's switch to 2Day FM breakfast will be without their long time sidekick, Mamma Jugs. The Hot 30 Countdown regular was not too keen on the early starts and resigned before Christmas.

Mix 106.5 announcer, Lee Bevington, has brought forward his wedding to fiancee, Amy, from 2007 to September 2006. Bevington proposed to his girlfriend of two years at the stroke of midnight on New year's Eve against the backdrop of the Sydney Harbour fireworks at Clarke's Point in Woolwich. Bevington says his family complained about the wedding being too far away, so he has moved it forward.
