HE'S BACK! After a year out of commercial radio, filling in on community stations in Geelong (doing everything from calling football, reading news to hosting a talkback show), Peter Holden has returned to the commercial side of the industry. Peter starts on 17 January at 2EC/Power FM Bega as the FM breakfast host.

SAFM's Berni Sewer will move from publicity to producing Milly and Lehmo's breakfast from Monday 17 January. She replaces Kerry Nicholls, who is staying in radio but has moved to Melbourne.

Paul Barrett - the breakky jock at 101FM Logan is leaving the station after 10 years and 9 years on breakfast. He's moving to Mackay in early February for family reasons

Kyle and Jackie O's switch to 2Day FM breakfast will be without their long time sidekick, Mamma Jugs. The Hot 30 Countdown regular was not too keen on the early starts and resigned before Christmas.

Mix 106.5 announcer, Lee Bevington, has brought forward his wedding to fiancee, Amy, from 2007 to September 2006. Bevington proposed to his girlfriend of two years at the stroke of midnight on New year's Eve against the backdrop of the Sydney Harbour fireworks at Clarke's Point in Woolwich. Bevington says his family complained about the wedding being too far away, so he has moved it forward.

Sydney based news stringer and voice-over guy Tim Stackpool is once again working as the venue announcer for the Sydney International Tennis Tournament beginning this weekend. He is also reporting on the event for a number of international broadcasters.

Justin Drexall has resigned from HitzFM Bundaberg to move back to the Sunshine Coast to spend more time with his parter (whom he proposed to over the Christmas break). He will pop up on Hot91 during January doing casual weekends

Rick Knight will be commencing work as brekkie announcer on Star FM, Young in late January after 14 months in his first radio gig at 97.7 SNOW FM, Snowy Mountains. He completed the Swinburne Grad. Dip. in Commercial Radio in 2003.

Innes Corporation's International Sales Manager David Sims has resigned after 4 years and finishes up this week. He writes: "I have been extremely fortunate to have been employed by one of the best broadcast companies Australia wide and I would like to thank them for all the opportunities and training that have been provided to me. I would also like to personally thank Mr John Innes (MD) who is a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He has mentored me throughout these years and I have learnt more than I could have hoped for through his leadership."

WSFM drive presenter and recent breakfast fill in, Paul Holmes, is moving to Melbourne to present Mix 101.1 breakfast, probably with summer stand in, Jane Marwick.

Morning presenter, Ray Fewings, has resigned after ARN’s decision to lease 5DN's licence SEN from early next year. In all, six full time staff will lose their jobs, including two other broadcasters: Anne Wills and Jeff Sunderland.

4MK FM Mackay will be looking for a new Breakfast jock after Christmas. The Bear (Rob Kidd) has resigned and leaves the station on the 24th of December. He is heading to Canberra with Loretta Johns who was reading news for 4MK FM and Hot FM.

Classic FM's Kay McLennan has retired after 25 years with the ABC, most recently presenting choral music program, 'For The God Who Sings'.

Mix 106.5 FM co-host, Sammy Power, has signed with leading sport, media and entertainment agency, the Fordham Group. It is understood Power is off contract, but is close to signing a new deal with the station.
