House Party host KLP is moving on after  five years of working at triple j and Double J’s Stu Buchanan and his show Fat Planet are moving.

 In 2019  Stu will be chatting about new music from around the world as a segment on Double J Arvos with Tim Shiel.
triple j will announce a new House Party presenter and Double J will announce two new programs in early 2019.

Sarah Hurwood

Sarah Hurwood is the new Promotions Team Leader/Admin Assistant for TR FM and Gold 1242/98.3FM, based in Traralgon in Gippsland. She brings a wealth of experience, including time at 3GG in Promotions and Star FM (now Hit) in Warragul as a Sales Executive. Sarah also has her own Video Production company; Wonderment Films and will bring these skills to her new role.

New Zealand's MediaWorks will merge two stations next year, combining RadioLIVE with the Magic network to form a new network called Magic Talk. CEO Michael Anderson (pictured) said the merged station would offer both music and talk radio.

The ABC Alumni will be officially launched at noon on Wednesday, 21 November 2018 in the foyer at the ABC headquarters, Sydney.
The group was formed following a meeting of around 20 Alumni last month. ABC Board Selection, the decline of the broadcaster and concerns over Asia Pacific Broadcasting were at the top of the agenda.

After an enormous public outpouring and reaction to Bob Rogers announcing he was hanging up his headphones, Bob decided he wanted to continue with his iconic Saturday night show.
Returning this Saturday, November 17th, Bob will again pull up his chair, put on the headphones and settle into his familiar 2CH studio to present “Reminiscing” 6pm to Midnight.

Four new directors were elected to the CBAA Board at this year's AGM: Anne Frankenberg, Jacqui Riddel, Daniel Ahern (pictured) and Quinn Glasson. Anne Frankenberg was confirmed as Vice President, a position she has held in an acting capacity since the resignation of Melanie Withnall earlier this year. Molly George was elected as Youth Representative.

The World's longest serving radio announcer Bob Rogers has announced his retirement on air, citing doctor's orders, having suffered a stroke six weeks ago.

Adelaide award-winning newsreader, Anne Stone, has described her dismissal from FIVEaa as "brutal." According to the Adelaide Advertiser, Anne was axed after 19 years and marched out of the building last Friday without a chance to say goodbye to colleagues or listeners.

Irene Hulme has been promoted to Head of Music for SCA's Hit and Triple M networks.

She will now be in charge of music strategy for Southern Cross Austereo. A range of other staffing changes accompany the creation of the new Music Hub structure within SCA.
