Communications Minister Mitch Fifield knew the ABC board was planning to sack managing director Michelle Guthrie a fortnight before she was formally dumped.
The Minister says that on September 12th the then chair of the ABC Board, Justin Milne, advised him that Guthrie would be dumped as the board no longer had confidence in her ability to lead the ABC.
