We’re on the hunt for an Announcer to join the team at our heritage AM station for over 90 years, 5RM – that is strong on news, information, and local personalities to create entertaining experiences for our listeners that extend beyond the airwaves and into the community.
About the role:
- Deliver live and automated on-air shifts as rostered, creating compelling and entertaining audience experiences
- Create engaging, entertainment-led talk breaks and segments aligned to the station’s brand, music positioning and audience lifestyle
- Actively contribute ideas for content, segments or moments that enhance cultural relevance and audience enjoyment
- Extend on-air content into digital and social platforms to build engagement and shareability
- Represent ARN’s entertainment brands on-air and in-market, including events, promotions and community moments
- Work collaboratively with promotions and commercial teams to support integrated station initiatives while maintaining audience trust
About you:
- Experience producing and delivering on-air content in a radio, audio or entertainment environment
- Strong communication skills with a natural ability to engage and entertain audiences
- Passion for music, culture and storytelling, with awareness of audience trends
- Confidence representing a media brand in public and community settings
- Experienced panel operator
- Strong knowledge of playout systems like Zetta
- Fluent with audio editing tools like Adobe Audition
