"Is the revenue that erectile dysfunction advertising brings in the short term worth the listeners it may lose in the long term?"
"Any suggestions on how to keep the revenue without losing listeners?"
How about a more creative approach to satisfying the needs of the client, advertiser & listener ?
One answer is more interactive use of a station's web presence with client links. Tease tastefully 'on-air' with a strong call-to-action to "find out 'how' on our web site" approach. That way, the on-air tone remains more family friendly whilst acknowledging the problem and offering a direct way 'on line' to view the data, hear the pitch & communicate in confidence with the advertiser. The station's effectiveness via direct hits from the client link is easily measured by the advertiser, with the station requirying a weekly hits audit. Now there's a creative teaser if ever I thought of one....
"Are you a hit or missing out ? Go to our web site 24/7 and see how ___________can improve your form. Fellas, life was meant to be easier, so look for the __________link on our web site and discover your love life potential. FUNFM.COM.AU it's all about living a full, fun, life."
