I'd like to see Community Stations included. I feel the real story may just surprise a few people.
There's no doubt that the so called "official" radio ratings are inaccurate.
I’m glad to see Radioinfo suggesting that community stations may be gaining as much as 6% of the audience in some major markets.
But why does the CRA refuse to acknowledge this fact?
Joan Warner’s repeated attacks on the McNair survey are illogical. Pretending community radio doesn’t exist won’t make it go away.
If she believed in genuine competition she would be happy to accept the small successes of the community sector and urge her members to fairly compete for listeners by providing better programming.
