ACMA eyes single spectrum auction

The communications regulator has moved closer to re-farming the so-called digital dividend spectrum with a formal proposal to auction the two bands as a single national allocation. The Australian Communications and Media Authority today said it was ready to put its advice for handling the overall sale of the two bands to the federal government. Giles Tanner, general manager of ACMA’s digital transition division, announced the proposal at the agency’s RadComms event in Sydney today, reports The Australian.
