Advertisers continue to desert Alan Jones, with one of Australia’s top golf tournaments and AirAsia the latest to drop the breakfast show on 2GB following a listener backlash. Emirates has written on Facebook that an ad for the Australian Open golf tournament, sponsored by the airline and to be held in Sydney next month, was not authorised and should not have been broadcast. AirAsia also moved to distance itself from Jones, blaming an error for its commercial airing.
