Press Council chairman Julian Disney says Australia should adopt key recommendations of the UK’s Leveson inquiry, including its proposed opt-in arbitration system for resolving complaints quickly and cheaply. As the Australian government considers its own stalled media reform agenda, backbencher Joel Fitzgibbon said the Leveson findings would bolster the case for change.
