2CC convoy lead bike and truck auctions

Over the last couple of mornings, the Tim Shaw Breakfast Show 2CC has held live auctions for the rights to be the Lead Bike and Lead Truck at this Sunday’s Convoy For Cancer Families. 
 
Local and interstate trucking companies and motorcycle groups all came together in the live auctions.  The final total raised was   $172,400,  a record for the Canberra Convoy which is in its 5th year.

Terry Stewart from TJS Transport in Queanbeyan,  won this morning’s Lead Truck Auction for the Convoy For Cancer Families 2017 with a bid of $60,000. Chris from Elvin Concrete, who made a bid of $58,500.
 
This is the first year that both 2CA and 2CC have supported Convoy and the Eden Monaro Cancer Support Group.
 
These important funds will help the Eden Monaro Cancer support Group to help those undergoing treatments, to pay the bills and everyday living expenses.
 
The Convoy is on this Sunday morning throughout the streets of Canberra.

It starts at 10am from Oaks Estate and ends up at Exhibition Park Mitchell where a huge family fun day and a performance from INXS tribute band Original Sin.

The party starts at midday.
