The ABC Radio Regional Production Fund has announced 26 winners in its 2005 Short Story Project.
The project invited regional writers to submit an unpublished story of around 650 words on any topic. Over two thousand entries were received.
Each will receive $650 for their story which will be produced and broadcast on national ABC networks, starting this month.
The ABC Radio Regional Production Fund is now in its fourth year. Since its inception it has commissioned more than 257 projects from more that 120 regional contributors who are not on ABC staff. This equates to more than 653 hours of broadcast material on ABC Radio.
