ACE Group PD cuts down the kms

In the last 12 months Mark Taylor, ACE Radio’s Group Program Manager has clocked up more than 80,000 kilometres in his Toyota Prado.

Commuting between the stations he presided over took about six hours one-way every time he jumped in the car.

As well as being ACE’s Program Manager, Mark is also General Manager of 3WM, Mixx FM and The Weekly Advertiser in Horsham, as well as General Manager of 2AY in Albury-Wodonga.

Mark has been running three of the stations and the newspaper for two years and has been GM of the Horsham operations for 20 years where he has established a strong connection with the business and broader Wimmera-Mallee community.

Mark has decided to concentrate on the group’s programming activities so from 2014 will pass on his Horsham GM duties to ACE Radio’s Scott Grambau, who was formerly sales manager at ACE Radio’s Bairnsdale office for TRFM and GOLD 1242.

During his time at Horsham, Mark opened The Weekly Advertiser newspaper, establishing one of the country’s few radio-newspaper combinations and consolidating an early version of the multi-media advertising platform.

Mark said: “It will be great to have the time to get back around to all the other ACE stations rather than just be on conference calls and I look forward to getting involved with more CRA activities in the future.”
