AFTRS students are live

AFTRS Graduate Diploma of Radio students have launched their second pop-up network of the year.

Breakfast co-hosts Mariam and Sam covered ‘engaging and relevant content’ such as local Nowra successes – a 21 year-old home owner and 18 year-old local bakery owner, both good news stories from broadcast area Nowra.

2RS (which stands for Regional Simulation) streams online for two weeks and mirrors successful regional formats, broadcasting to three regions: Wollongong, Muswellbrook and Nowra.

Students spent two days with Grant Broadcasters in the three markets prior to broadcast, learning about operations and content for regional radio stations.

2RSYour live and local sound’ targets the 25-39 demographic and is a contemporary mix of established artists with new music and local information.

Students are working in the roles of Digital Content Producer, Music Director, Producer, Announcer and Audio Producer and are focused on developing their skills to create engaging content.

2RS is live until Friday, June 16.
