On air role vacant at The Edge – no experience necessary

Following up on the news radioinfo broke in March, ARN’s dedicated Urban music station, The Edge 96.ONE’s nation-wide competition to find the station’s next on-air presenter begins this week.

Edge Star will give one talented and passionate Edge lover the chance to fulfil their dreams of becoming a radio presenter. Determined by their creativity, enthusiasm, and talent, the winner will be rewarded with an on-air job at the station.

Registrations are open now via www.961.com.au. The deadline for entry is May 30, with the finalists battling it out on air and the ultimate winner crowned in late June.

“We’re incredibly excited to launch Edge Star,” The Edge’s Program Director Charlie Fox said. “We’re constantly impressed by the creativity and passion that fans of The Edge have and we can’t wait to see who will come forward and what they’ll bring. The winner will be given their own full-time shift where they’ll learn how to be a radio presenter, as well as fantastic access to local and international musicians and celebrities.

“We really will take one listener’s life and change it forever,”said Fox.
