ARN implements national gateway for ad audio

The Australian Radio Network has created a ‘National Gateway’ for all advertising material and audio for Sydney Agency bookings. The new system will provide clients with an “efficient and cost effective” service.

All material instructions are entered into ARN’s Traffic System, and audio is dispatched to the network’s Playout System from the central gateway in Sydney.

ARN hopes the new arrangement will minimise error and provide clients with a central point of contact for all material requirements.

As of 1st July, all commercial Audio broadcast on any ARN station (except Perth) that has been booked through ARN Sydney Agency must be to the Sydney Gateway. The gateway will receive from Dart, AudioNet, Southern Cross Syndication, CD or MP3.

The ARN Stations covered by the new arrangement include:
Mix 106.5 Sydney,
WSFM Sydney,
The Edge Western Sydney,
Gold 104 Melbourne,
Mix 101.1 Melbourne,
973 Brisbane,
4KQ Brisbane,
FM 104 Canberra,
Mix 106.3 Canberra,
Mix 102.3 Adelaide and
5DN Adelaide.

National Agency Sales Manager Brian Blacklock says:

“It is our aim to provide the most efficient and error free Materials handling process for clients.”

Distribution operators such as AudioNET, Southern Cross, Dart, etc have adapted to the changes and are able to supply to ARN’s central location for their clients.
