The Chaser’s Chris Taylor and Craig Reucassel will be taking over the triple j airwaves to present a daily program covering the US election called The Race Race.

The Race Race will feature sketches, phone stunts and expert commentary from America’s most respected moose. Always fearless, The Race Race will tackle the big election questions of the day, such as:

* Is hockey mum Sarah Palin isolating America’s ping pong mums?
* Does Osama bin Laden hate in when people always confuse him with Obama?
* And why bother even having an election when Mugabe will probably just declare it void and install himself in the Oval Office instead?

“This is an historic, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to contribute a meaningless line to a press release,” said Craig Reucassel.

Broadcasting for half an hour every day, Taylor and Reucassel will be joined by regular guests including their Chaser colleagues Julian Morrow (embedded in America), Chas Licciardello (embedded in Russia, which is quite nearby apparently) and Hillary Clinton who agreed to help out since she has no other role to play in this election.

The Race Race will air daily at 5pm, beginning on Monday 27 October. It will run for eight episodes in total, concluding with a “verdict show” hosted by James Mathieson and Andrew G on 5 November.
