Double J’s First Year of Music

Today marks a year since Double J emerged as triple j’s older sister, launching a whole new space to hear and read in-depth music features and docos, discover new music and relive the music that sound tracked your life.

In just 12 months the station has garnered 524,000 weekly listeners, across mobile, online, digital radio and on digital TV.

Myf Warhurst, who leads the station with her daily music show, Lunch with Myf  looks back on Double J’s first year, saying

“For me personally, it’s been a dream job. Not only do I get to play great music, I also get to have in-depth discussions with talented folk from all over the world. Whether it’s making Nick Cave laugh or meeting my 80s icon Nenah Cherry, every day around here has been a blast. It couldn’t have happened without our team of talented and dedicated people, and the many musicians who have enlightened us with their passion, knowledge and stories.”
