Frank Hyde was laid to rest today after a funeral at Manly’s Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. Father Paddy Gillick revealed the 4 F’s that governed Frank’s life: “his family, his faith, his friends and his football.”

A crowd of hundreds packed the church to pay tribute to the man who “never spoke ill of anyone,” a rare thing in the media.

Father Gillick said in the eulogy:

“I couldn’t imagine how stupid some people who run television and radio stations are, that they would have offered Frank a salary. He would have done it for nothing!”
