Galey, Matt and Charli’s Almost Legends of Origin begins on May 31st at the Runaway Bay Rugby League Club where preeminent rugby players from the past have been selected by Sea FM listeners to represent their states.
 
Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate has surprisingly signed on to wear the blues jersey, for a spot in the New South Wales team.
 
Captaining NSW is Titans very own Greg Bird, and for QLD, Bronco’s talented Ben Hannant will lead the maroons.
 
Sea FM’s Matty Acton will put on his maroon number nine jersey for the second year in a row and warns the Blues to watch out.
 
“I’ve been doing some serious behind the scenes training for this and let’s just say NSW is going to have a tough time getting past me,” said Matty Acton.
 
“This match will be a great way for the community to get into the Origin spirit and for the juniors of the Runaway Bay club to meet heroes of the sport.”
 
Charli will perform a popular song chosen by the 90.9 Sea FM listeners, cheerleading performances by the Titanettes and plenty of family friendly activities.
 
Almost Legends of Origin will kick off at 6:00pm on May 31.
