Being an occasional listener to 2SM, some of the programs are relayed from 2HD.
Mr Ashford, please fix the link from 2HD to 2SM. It is only broadcasting one channel of a stereo signal. The problem is most obvious when playing music.
Last week I only heard one channel of a stereo pair of The Doors' "Light My Fire". I could not hear Ray Manzarek's (RIP) keyboard contribution. Similarly whenever the music of The Beatles was aired, I could only hear one channel of a stereo pair.
So Mr Ashford, please provide two channels from 2HD to 2SM, not one channel doubled as a stereo pair.
Thank you,
Anthony of exciting but disappointed about 2SM's audio quality.=
The stereo link has not been fixed.
On the 05-06-2021, at 1400, I was tuned into the Dave Sutherland show on 2SM.
The very first song was The Doors' "Light My Fire". Ray Manzarek's keyboard contribution which is supposed to be on the right channel could barely be heard.
The link between 2HD and 2SM needs to be repaired. 2HD are sending only the left channel doubled up as a stereo pair.
If the 2SMSupernetwork are so slack in not wanting to transmit in stereo from 2HD to 2SM, why not give a mono feed at 2HD by combining the left and right channels and sending a mono feed.
Mono is better than pretend stereo = doubled-up left channel.
Thank you,
Anthony of excited but disappointed Belfield
