Hamish Carter pulls the pin on his radio career

Thursday 13 February, 2020
Hamish Carter has revealed that he is leaving Hit South Queensland after a 20-year run at the station.

Fresh back from holidays, Hamish found a novel way to tell his listeners he was leaving at the end of February, saying “I’ve pulled the pin on doing breakfast radio and radio in general. At the beginning of every year I ask myself if I can get through another year of breakfast radio, and this year I asked this question and the answer was no…”

As yet there is no news on his replacement or on his future.

That was really sweet, and very heartfelt. I hope that Hamish lets us know what is next for him.
