Hot 91.1 Lightning Sunday Session launches this weekend

She’s represented her country in the Australian Netball Diamonds, and now Caitlin Bassett, aka C-Bass, is giving radio a go in the Hot 91.1 Lightning Sunday Session starting this weekend.

Having recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast to play with the newly formed Sunshine Coast Lightning in the National Netball League, Bassett will be joined by team mate Kelsey Browne (K-Bro) in the new lifestyle show on Hot 91.1, Sunday afternoons from 4pm.

The show won’t just be about netball though, with the hosts keen to share with listeners stories from their life off the court as they settle into life on the Sunshine Coast.

Caitlin said she is grateful to have the opportunity to get some hands on experience in media while studying a Broadcast and Journalism degree.

“It’s an amazing opportunity to be working with a successful radio network and partner of the Lightning,” she said.

Team mate and now co-host Kelsey Browne (left) said she was looking forward to working with Caitlin on the show.

“We’re going to have a lot of laughs and cover plenty of hard hitting subjects and maybe a tiny bit of netball too,” she said.

Hot 91.1 are proud to be the official radio partner of the Sunshine Coast Lightning and Hot 91.1 Content Director Ross Turner said the program comes as a natural extension of that partnership.

“The Sunshine Coast Lightning are the first national team of any sport here on the court so naturally we’re thrilled to have the chance to showcase them on air. Caitlin and Kelsey are great personalities on and off the court and we look forward to showing another side to them on our show,” he said.
