Inaugural Aussie music festival in Birdsville: interviews available

Aussie Outback music event the Big Red Bash, kicks off in Birdsville in 14 days, with interviews available for radio stations interested in covering the event.

The inaugural Bash will see hundreds of revellers from all across Australia descend on the tiny outback town of Birdsville for what is being described as the “experience of a lifetime.”

Held atop of the Big Red sand dune in the Simpson Desert, the concert will kick off on the 9th of July and feature two days of Aussie music legends, including Kasey Chambers, John Williamson, Daryl Braithwaite and James Reyne) belting out their greatest hits in one of the most stunning natural stages ever created.

All the music legends on the line up are gearing up to fly in for the Bash and will be available for radio station interviews through AVV!SO PUBLIC RELATIONS.

The natural amphitheatre on top of Australia’s largest sand dune on the edge of the Simpson Desert played host to John Williamson last year and has inspired the unique music event.

Event organiser Greg Donovan says the town is looking forward to welcoming visitors from all walks of life to Birdsville for an amazing experience:

“The Bash is a quintessentially Australian event, going back to basics in the outback with your family or friends, coupled with some of the most beautiful surroundings and a huge line up of talented performers. It’s the recipe for something magical.”

Birdsville is one of Australia’s most iconic outback towns, perched on the edge of the vast Simpson and Sturt Stony deserts and the famous Channel Country. Despite its isolation and wild foreboding country, it has been named Queensland’s friendliest town and its famous pub is noted for true outback hospitality.

The Big Red Bash is on July 9 & 10, 2014 and tickets and packages are on sale via Ticketek.

Supported by the Queensland Government through Tourism and Events Queensland as well as Outback Queensland Tourism and the Diamantina Shire Council, travellers to the Big Red Bash can also add another experience of outback festivities to the itinerary with the nearby Bedourie Camel Races being held on July 12th.
