It’s the silly season of revolving breakfast chair speculation

Let the games begin.

Who is going to move onto breakfast at Triple M Melbourne and 2Day FM is now the main object of speculation for all the would-be CD’s among us.

‘Leaked’ information and deleted Twitter posts are suggesting that Marty Sheargold will get the gig in Melbourne, and now there is talk that Hughesy & Ed are going to move into breakfast in the Harbour side city.

Meanwhile Sally & Erica have left triple j breakfast to “pursue other opportunities” suggesting that they could pop up somewhere new next year, and the success of Ben & Liam’s move from triple j to Nova in Adelaide could make their successors an attractive proposition for a commercial network.

2Day has already decided that Jamie Angel’s time on breakfast is limited, and have said that they are close to making an announcement on his replacement with Grant Blackley telling shareholders at the beginning of this month that “…the highest priority in the radio network for the coming year is a new and successful breakfast program on 2Day FM, and that an announcement on the program will be made in coming weeks.”

Could Sally & Erica end up here and who moves onto triple j breakfast?

What about Triple M Perth who look to be replacing Xavier Pete & Juelz with a brand new breakfast show according to their launch announcement today.

One of Adelaide’s breakfast duo’s is getting a face change next year with Jodie Oddy leaving Mix 102.3 after 13 years. Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom will be part of a new direction for the Mix 102.3 Breakfast Show. ARN will make a further announcement about the 2021 breakfast show soon with former Seven newsreader Jess Adamson and Crows AFLW star Erin Phillips both named as a possible replacement for Jodie.

Behind the scenes, the departure of Matt Thomson and rumoured departure of national drive associate producer Loren Barry from Nova to SCA has been linked to Sheargold’s move to the Big Breakfast.

So who is going where…give us your best guess
