John Blackman continues to improve after surgery

Veteran radio broadcaster John Blackman‘s condition is improving after major cancer surgery on his face during which his whole jaw was removed and replaced.

Surgeons replaced the jaw with a bone taken and shaped from his leg.

The 71-year-old has been moved out of intensive care and while he is in a stable condition it is still not known if he will ever talk again.

John was diagnosed with aggressive cancer after noticing a pimple on his chin two years ago.
