Jonathan Coleman’s show has been moved to the drive slot (5-7pm) on ARN’s Classic Hits Network, and will now be heard on a total of 21 stations in regional and metro areas, through ARN and mcm entertainment.
Recognising the “changing work habits and schedules of many Australian families” Classic Hits has moved the drive program back an hour from the traditional 4-6pm period and put Coleman and Julia Zemiro into the slot.
Coleman has told radioinfo: “Julia and I are having a ball with the new timeslot! We get to go out for lunch or dinner and we are still laughing at each other’s jokes, so that’s a good sign. We are still going for big star guests and lotsa fun and music to get you home with a smile on ya dial, and on a lot more stations.”
ARN Group Program Director Peter Yiamarelos says moving the new show to the hours of 5-7 will better cater to our core listener’s work and travel habits.”
The program ranked number two in its previous afternoon time slot in
Sydney, so ARN has made a good strategic decision to change it to a more important time slot.
mcm entertainment’s Dave Carter is excited by the move for the
show: “Listener loyalty among the over 25’s continues to climb, with very
promising results for The Jonathan Coleman Experience in the last radio survey.
“There is also great news for advertisers with the show adding a new regional network. Key markets coming on board with this expansion include Bendigo,
Coffs Harbour and Hobart.”
Broadcast live 5 days a week on WSFM, Gold FM, 4KQ and its new
regional network (see below), The Jonathan Coleman Experience combines interviews with
entertainment’s biggest stars, competitions, listener interaction and great music in
a variety style programme.
