Lizzy Lovette leaves Nova Sydney

Nova 969 announcer Lizzy Lovette will depart DMG’s Sydney outlet and devote more time to her television career.

Lovette was poached from 2Day FM in 2004 to host the station’s evening show alongside Kip Wightman. Six months later she was teamed with David Campbell on nights, then moved to afternoons and finally mornings this year.

During the past twelve months, Lovette has also tried her hand at hosting a television show on Channel V as well as a weekend music show on Channel Seven.

Nova General Manager Mandi Wicks says, “Lizzy has been a key member of the on-air team at Nova and we always suspected TV would snap her up. We know she will be successful at whatever she does.”

Lovette herself added, “I have had so many fun and crazy experiences Nova style! I’d like to thank DMG for the wonderful opportunities they have given me, and wish the station all the best for the future.”

Nova are currently advertising for announcers in radioinfo’s employment section.
