Futurist and entrepreneur Mark Pesce has joined podcast company Ampel to explore the future with his new podcast, The Next Billion Seconds.
The Next Billion Seconds podcast explores how the choices we all make today shape our tomorrow and equips listeners with the information needed to make the best decisions about the future.
The podcast stresses that the future has never been more important and will follow the businesses, people and innovations that are changing the world for the better.
This season will explore buying cryptocurrency and whether a theoretical plot of land in the metaverse is worth more or less than a physical beachfront house in the real world that sits below sea level.

Throughout the year, there will be mini-series about cryptocurrency, the next billion cars and the future of human exploration of space.
Josh Butt, founder and executive producer at Ampel, said the podcast is for brands who need to join the conversation about what the future could look like and explore how they can play a part.

Pesce is an entrepreneur, writer, futurist, adviser, speaker, a former judge on the ABC’s New Inventors and podcaster. He invented the technology that took the web 3D, opening up possibilities including the Metaverse.
2022’s theme for The Next Billion Seconds is ‘World Changing’, a concept important to both the host and his new podcast home, Ampel.
