Mix 101.1 gives away a franchise

Some stations give away cash, cars, others houses and even boob enlargements. But Mix101.1 is giving its Melbourne listeners a unique opportunity to change their lives by winning the keys to their very own Salsa’s Fresh Mex Grill franchise.

Mix101.1 and Salsa’s New Life Starter competiton will bring new meaning to the term “bean counter” with a Salsa’s store on Bridge Road, Richmond to giveaway. You can count beans, nachos, enchiladas, tacos and at the end of the day the profits as you live the dream and make a fresh start as your very own boss.

You don’t need to have experience in the food industry, enter as an individual, or as a pair with your partner, mum, dad, brother, sister, work colleague or amigo. A $10,000 Mexican holiday and Salsa’s vouchers are also up for grabs in one of Mix’s biggest promotions of the year!

Mix101.1’s Content Director Brendon Dangar said: “We are thrilled to partner with Salsa’s to give away this incredibly unique prize, that will no doubt spice up the life of one lucky listener.”

From today, listeners can register for the competition on the Mix website. Two entrants will be selected each competition hour on Mix and if they successfully call in when they hear their name they will be invited to attend the Salsa’s Camp, a weekend in which the potential new business owners will learn more about the company.

Three finalists will be selected from the Salsa’s Camp, with the grand prize-winner announced on Friday 29 November by Mix 101.1’s Chrissie and Jane at a live broadcast from Salsa’s Bridge Road store. The fiesta will begin with breakfast burritos, salsa dancing and piñatas and finish with one lucky listener being handed the keys to their very own Salsa’s store.

Chrissie and Jane said: “Senors and senoritas, do yourself a favour and sign up for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, fast. Ditch the annoying boss and endless emails for delicious fresh Mex, a sneaky siesta every now and then, and a new life as your own boss.”

Salsa’s general manager Jake Spencer says Mix101.1 listeners don’t necessarily need experience in the food industry to run a Salsa’s store: “We’re looking for someone who is looking for a new start in life. Someone motivated, energetic and hungry for success. And someone with an infatuation with Mexican food. Getting a kick start like this is not an opportunity that comes along every day. We’re putting our trust in someone to take on the responsibility of running a successful small business. May the best man or woman win.”
