Friday morning we find out just who will step into the giant shoes of Kyle and Jackie O on the  2day Fm breakfast show next year.
 
In what Southern Cross Austereo is claiming as a “world first”, the announcement will be made in a simulcast with the Nine Network’s Today Show at around 7.40am Friday.
 
It promises SCA’s “new take” on Breakfast with the Stars. Since the departure of Kyle and Jackie, there’s been a lot of talk from inside SCA about “generational change” on the station and this being the opportunity to do things differently. Just how differently will no doubt be discovered tomorrow.
 
As outlined by radioInfo earlier this week, the release of the final survey for 2013 didn’t see the farewell kick that 2day may have been expecting, so there will be a lot of pressure on from the sales side of the company for this new show to work, and work quickly.
 
We’ve already seen a teaser video featuring a lot of people, most of whom will in all likelihood not be on the show – but one or two of them might.
