New morning and drive presenters at KO FM

Jeremy “JR” Ryan has been appointed KOFM’s Mornings announcer.

JR ‘The Sports Guy’ will still keep Newcastle and the Hunter up to date with everything sport during KOFM Breakfast with Tanya and Steve, but now he also has his own timeslot.

JR summed it up this way: “After 8 years on-air, I finally tricked them into giving me my own shift!”

Nick “Blanchy” Blanch will take on the Drive shift on KOFM, and will also produce KOFM’s Footy Call Team (calling Knights games live during the NRL season).

Blanchy was pleased, saying: “There really is no place like home and to be able to get a round of golf in early before work suits me!”

Ashley Myatt, Regional General Manager NSW is delighted with the new presenters: “For 2016, KOFM’s on-air offering is enhanced by these two appointments.”

Mike Byrne, Newcastle Group Content Director added: “With both of these lads being long-term locals, the addition of Blanchy and JR to the KOFM line up reinforces our commitment to being ‘Everything Newcastle’, plus they’re both top blokes!”

From Monday 18 January, KOFM’s 2016 Line-up is:

6-9am KOFM Breakfast with Tanya and Steve
9am-12noon Jeremy “JR” Ryan
12noon-4pm “Little Andy” Simpson
4-7pm Nick “Blanchy” Blanch
7-10pm The Greatest Years in Music with Christian Argenti
